Window Display for The Fringe on Kloof Street.

If you are a regular visitor to our Facebook page you would know that we are great fans of The Fringe Arts in Kloofstreet. They have this great initiative of allowing local designers  to take over their window space  and unleash a bit of creative energy. So, when presented with the opportunity to do the April display we could not resist. Always happy to take on a challenge, and with a little help from our friends, we set about building a fully furnished, 2 storey Cape Dutch house to the scale 1:10. All items in the house have real copies that we have made for clients in the last year, so have a look around, you might see your piece in there somewhere!

Modular Display Units

How do you fit 8sq/m display space into a VW Polo? Peaches Handmade recently approached us to build two display units that can easily be taken apart and transported to and from market. A little.. well actually a lot of head scratching followed until we came up with these beauties. Each unit has interchangeable shelves and boxes that can be fitted front and back depending on your area where you display. The gaps in between shelves also ensures a bit more stability when its a windy day. Afterwards they are easily disassembled for transport.

The units are easily stored and transported when taken apart.

Once assembled they offer front and back display space and the shelving and boxes fit anywhere on the frame.

Behold! Two display units as well as stock fits into a VW Polo!
